Technical Webinar: Optimizing People Flow in a Building

Date, time & venue

2020-11-17;18:30 to 19:30;online conference and to be conducted in Cantonese

Programme Highlight:

Many developers and building managers, especially in the office segment, want to have their buildings to be functional, easy to navigate, and adaptable. In other words, they need good people flow inside their buildings. However, understanding the people flow in the building is always a challenge and the current methods like manual counting and area-based estimation are not accurate enough.

This webinar will illustrate how people flow in the building is captured using heat maps and sensor data. We will see how the collected data of horizontal and vertical movement of people can be compared, analyzed & simulated from a people flow point of view. The effectiveness of solutions under different scenarios can be verified by visualizing the people flow density within a given time frame and forecasting it based on the data collected.
