“Bridge - Perfect Window” Bidding System

The seminar consists of 2 parts: the first part is related to engineering application and the second part is about the Bridge Bidding System.
Recently, Ir Dr Chan published a book on “Prefect Window Bidding System” and this technical seminar explains how the bidding system is being designed using various engineering principles. He is an expert in power systems protection and distribution automation, providing a system managing vast data and efficiently to achieve the control and automation objectives. The talk will highlight the similarities and applications to the Bridge Bidding System.
“Bridge” is a card game under the category of mind sports and has been included in the Asian Games. In Asian Game 2018 on Bridge, Hong Kong won 2 silver and 2 bronze!
Speaker: Ir Dr FC Chan
Ir Dr. Chan has extensive experiences in power systems specialising in power system protection, distribution automation, lighting applications and energy services. He has also involved in various management activities, including business process re-engineering, quality systems, contingency planning and procurement. He published over 50 papers and he won the HKIE Transactions Prizes 2 times, in 2003 and 2007. He was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star in the 2017 Honours List, the HKSAR Government. He is a Past President of the HKIE.
