NOTICE OF THE 44TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 44th Annual General Meeting of the Electrical Division will be held on Friday, 5 May 2023 at 6:15pm at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, 20 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, for the following purposes: - To receive and confirm the Minutes of the 43rd AGM.
- To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2022/2023.
- To receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2022/2023.
- To elect the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee for Session 2023/2024.
In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check on the Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk and the Division’s website at http://el.hkie.org.hk of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM. Ir Banson LAM Kin Chung

The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Andrew YAN Ka Wing for election as the Chairman for Session 2023/2024. No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline. Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary Members, and seven Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Stanley LEUNG Kwun Wah, Ir Andrew YAN Ka Wing, Ir Walter AU Tat Kay, Ir Hugo CHAN Cheong Yue, Ir Steve CHAN Kar Keung, Ir CHU Yim Kwong and Ir Stephen YIP Chi Kin. Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are seven vacancies for the Ordinary Members. The Division Committee has decided to nominate the following seven candidates for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir Hugo CHAN Cheong Yue, Ir Steve CHAN Kar Keung, Ir CHU Yim Kwong, Ir Stephen YIP Chi Kin, Ir Ben LAM Chi Keung, Ir Dr WONG Ka Chung and Ir Vincent LEUNG Chi To. No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline. Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Member of the Committee who is of 35 years of age or below)
Two Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Vincent LEUNG Chi To and Ir Yani KO Yik Yan. Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are two vacancies for the Ordinary Members. The Division Committee has decided to nominate the following two candidates for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Miss SUEN Ting Ting and Ir Yani KO Yik Yan.
