Highlights:

The HKIE Electrical Division has organized a technical visit to the CLP Black Point Power Station situated in Lung Kwun Tan NT. The visit will start with an introduction and safety briefing at the station, followed by a tour of the Exhibition Gallery. Attendees will visit the Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Generating Unit D1 Viewing Gallery, showcasing the advanced CCGT technology at the station. The new unit is noteworthy for its high efficiency of around 60%, surpassing other units. This technology helps reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by about one million tonnes, equivalent to planting over 42 million trees, highlighting its significant environmental impact.

Registration Details: 

The visit is free of charge to HKIE members. The number of participants will be limited to 15 based on a first-come-first-served principle, however, priority will be given to the members of the Electrical Division.
